Stress Management

Stress is something a person feels when they are burdened with more than what they are used to handling. Being overly stressed can have bad effects. It can lead to headaches, an upset stomach, back pain and can cause sleeping problems. Stress can weaken a person’s immune system, which makes it harder for a person to fight off disease. Unfortunately, stress is a part of life that must be dealt with. To get stress under control it is important to find out what is causing the stress, look for ways to reduce the stress, and to look for ways of relieving stress or reducing its harmful effects.
Some tips for managing stress are: organizing time appropriately, get plenty of rest, eat well, and ask for help-people with a strong support system are generally able to manage stress more effectively. For more help with stress management use the link on the right.
