Children struggle in school for many different reasons. Some may have struggle because of physiological difficulies (e.g. Poor sleep cycle, ADHD, Learning Disorders, or low intelligence), while others may have problems related to their enviroment (e.g. Difficulties with family, friends, or poor study habits). Both of these issues can be dangerous for your child's emontional health. If a child is struggling in school, they are more likely to have low self esteem and behavior problems. This could be the precuror to depression. Whatever the reason for a child's struggle, it is imperative that children receive the help they need early in life. With an early intervention, the child could be saved a lot difficulties and heartaches later in life. (BACK)
